That life is worth - It is strange that at the end of the world - Aragon.

For a Sunday in style, to read poetry! With a title for us perk: That life is worth , Louis Aragon. Poem whose knowledge confuse those who made fun of Jean d'Ormesson. Just think such a title ... It is strange that at the end of the world . Ah well say so ... Forgive me, readers, those who did not know ... and who are being mocked in turn. Nothing good morning, it must be said. M'enfin ...

As I mentioned in my last blog , the title of the recent book by Jean d'Ormesson It is strange that at the end of the world (1) comes not from a poem of Aragon, but the second song That life is worth this poem entitled Eyes and memory, which includes 15 songs.

"Besides striking passages of poetry, the book contains sequences that are among the texts Communists openly written by Aragon as a poem, full of credulous enthusiasm may cause the nod of the modern reader. " (2)
Here, no politics, poetry.

Song II: That life is worth

It is strange that at the end of the world
Someday I'll go away without having said all these moments of happiness
these lunchtime fire
night and huge black tear blondes.

Nothing is so precious maybe we believed
Others come. They have the heart that I myself know
They touch the grass and say I love you
And dreaming in the night off vote.

Others will re like me who travel
Others smile of a child who met
Who will return for their name whispered
Others who shall look to the clouds. There will

Couple still quivering
Who this morning will dawn first
There will always be water in light wind
Nothing happens after all if it is passing.

is something basically I can not understand
This fear of dying that people have in them
As if that was not enough wonderful
Heaven one point we had looked so soft.

Yes I know this may seem a short time
We are so made that joy and sorrow flee
liar like wine cup too full
And our thirst at sea is only the beginning.

But yet still fierce despite the time
The heavy bag to the spine and heart-stricken
This choice can not be and have been
And the pain that leaves a ripple on the mouth.

Despite war and injustice and insomnia
Where is your heart is gnawing that fox
The bitterness and God knows if I for my part
Worn like a child stealing all my life.

Despite the wickedness of people and laughter
When we stumble and monstrous reasons
Whether you opposed to get a prison
From what we love and what we believe a martyr. Despite

cursed day that are bottomless pits Despite
these endless nights watching the enemies hate
Despite the fellow channels
My God, my God, who does not know what they are doing.

Despite age and when your heart suddenly wilt
's entourage prepared to believe anything wrong
Indifferent to give this thing bites you
Single story take revenge on you.

Cruelty and general crap
Whether you throw it is unclear that doing school
Despite what has been thought crazy ideas suffered
Without being able to relieve an insult or a cry. This hell

Despite nightmares and injuries
Separations mourning the snub
And yet everything we wanted what we wanted
any belief to fool the blue.

Nevertheless I tell you that this life was such That
who wants to hear that I'm talking about having
lip one word that I say thank you
despite everything that life was beautiful.

Believe / Epm, 2008

Now, I suggest you listen to the same song, but played this time by none other than Aragon himself ...
«[...] No longer on the lip a single word thank you
I still say that this life was beautiful . "
moving!

This is the surprise-at least I hope it is one, I promise you that. Click
